Join us on-line on Friday July 3rd from 9:30-12:30pm for dance leadership! Learn how to be an effective assistant teacher, the role of an assistant teacher with different age groups and strengthen your leadership skills. This fun half day program is only $25 plus HST.

PREPARATORY POINTE WORKSHOP - AGES 11-12
FRIDAY, JULY 10TH - 9:30-11:30AM
This workshop is designed for students who will be entering level 5A or 5B ballet in the fall and who are new or beginning pointe students. During this workshop, students will learn about the history of pointe shoes, preparing for pointe work and pointe shoe tips and tricks. Students will learn a series of strengthening exercises for pointe and receive a link to a video of these exercises so that they can practice and strengthen their feet and ankles throughout the summer. This session will also include a special guest from the Alberta Ballet trainee program!
Cost: $25+HST

barre fitness with andria
Barre fitness is a hybrid workout class - combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and strength training. Using your own body weight and a unique combination of high repetition isometric exercises and restorative stretches, this is excellent strengthening for all types of dance. Come prepared to sweat, embrace the muscle burn, and feel the famous barre shake! For an example of what to expect with barre fitness click here
Requirements: Yoga mat, rolled up towel, socks or ballet shoes, water bottle, 1-1.5lb weights (if available, if not, grab a couple heavy water bottles).
Level: All - anyone ready to sweat it out with a tough but fun workout!
