Amanda danced with Carousel for 11 years, during which she studied various styles including ballet, modern and jazz, as well as training in composition, and dancing with the company. Through the Carousel Dance Company, she has performed both locally with the KW Symphony and at the Guelph Dance Festival and internationally in Taiwan and Copenhagen. After graduating from both Carousel’s dance school and the Integrated Arts Program at Eastwood as a Dance major, Amanda is pursuing post-secondary studies in Early Childhood Education, on-track to graduate in the spring of 2021. During university, Amanda has been a member of the school dance team, exposing her to even more dance styles including hip-hop, contemporary and heels. As part of her university’s dance team, Amanda participated in dance workshops and competitions. Amanda has been teaching at Carousel since 2017 and has enjoyed sharing her passion for dance and teaching with both the primary and senior schools at Carousel. In addition, Amanda has worked with other athletes, and continued to build her knowledge of skill fundamentals, most notably as a coach and choreographer for a gymnastics club.
