Amanda is a proud Carousel grad who studied ballet, modern, and jazz as well as training in composition and dancing with the company during her time here. Throughout high school, Amanda performed locally with the KW Symphony, at the Guelph Dance Festival, and DanceFest, as well as internationally in Taiwan and Copenhagen. After graduating from her post-secondary studies in Early Childhood Education, Amanda then completed her Master of Teaching in 2023 at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, leading to her current work as a supply teacher with the Waterloo Region District School Board! During university, Amanda was a member of her school’s competitive dance teams, exposing her to even more styles through competitions and workshops, which included hip-hop, contemporary, and heels. Amanda has been teaching since 2017 and has enjoyed sharing her love of dance with all of her students! She has experience teaching all ages through her work as the Summer Camp Coordinator, choreographing for the Dance Company, choreographing and coaching gymnasts, and teaching classes here at Carousel and in Toronto!
