brianne mauro, BScN RN
Brianne Mauro BScN RN, is a Dance Teacher, Choreographer and Critical Care Registered Nurse in the KW area. She began dancing at the age of 2, studying Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Hip-Hop and Lyrical, she has been recognized many times with awards for her stage presence and performance quality. Brianne also excelled in dance exams and has completed Jazz and Tap examinations through the Canadian Dance Teachers Association. In 2010 she received the Outstanding Choreographer Award at the annual Ontario Secondary School DANCEFEST, and is now a member of the Board of Directors. In 2012 Brianne attended Nipissing University where she was the President of the recreational dance program, and danced with the varsity Nipissing Dance Pak. Upon graduation Brianne was awarded the prestigious “Dave Marshall Leadership Award” for her campus involvement.
After completing multiple additional certifications, Brianne is now working as an RN in the Intensive Care Unit, and is permanent faculty at Carousel Dance Centre since 2016. She is credited with establishing Carousel's Lyrical Program - which now has over 100 students enrolled, and is Co-Director of Carousel Theatre Company, a dance and theater program for adults with disabilities. Brianne is passionate about creating a safe and welcoming environment for all dancers, where students can explore creative movement with a focus on self-love, emotional expression and strength training to prevent injuries. Brianne is thankful for the opportunity to share her love of Dance while also pursuing her career in Science.
