Dance is for EveryBODY!
We believe that all individuals should have the opportunity to experience dance and we have developed a unique program which builds a repertoire of movement technique adapted to meet the needs of children and adults with both physical and developmental disabilities. Our co-ed program fosters creative and artistic expression within a socially interactive environment and encourages enjoyment of dancing through participation. In addition to our specialized programming for children with disabilities, we also encourage integration within both our full year programs and our summer dance camps.
Our program goals are to:·
Develop gross motor skills
Encourage self expression through creative movement
Develop rhythmic, spatial and temporal awareness
Enhance body awareness and the development of a positive body image
Foster social interaction skills
Provide individualized attention and support with low student to teacher ratio
Dance Classes Include:·
Basic dance instruction in ballet and modern dance
Guided creative dance exploration
Use of props & imagery to encourage participation and joy of movement
Music, rhythmic instruments and poetry as accompaniment
Exercise, fun and fitness
A special parent viewing celebration at the end of each session

INSTRUCTORS - Our instructors use a student centered teaching approach. They are genuinely interested in teaching dance and have a wealth of experience and expertise that they bring to the program.
